This is a spot for a several hour visit. Even with the lighthouse closed, we saw several new birds. Suggestion: stop at headquarters pond for the view overlooking platform. Also right near where the Florida trail crosses there is a spot where the otters have a feast. Enjoy
Florida at its best. It’s a hidden gem in North Florida. Just of 98 and a stunning 10 mike drive to the coast and historic lighthouse. Take time to stop along the way to hike and view the bird living in the refuge. It’s a national refuge so …

Walk on the beach, took pictures of the wildlife and lighthouse. Enjoyed the fresh air. Sat on a bench under tree over looking the water. Climbed a lookout tower and saw lots more of God's beauty just waiting to be seen. Enjoyed a picnic lunch and shared time with a friend. Checked out the boat launch and visited the gift shop.
An amazing area with abundant wildlife!!! Well worth the 2 hr drive!!! Military can get a free pass!
Beautiful nature. Crazy fog rolled in. Rolling breeze. Pay by your honor no ranger. Lighthouse is only open on Tuesdays 11 am to 2 pm but may be different because of COVID-19. Lot of photographers. Hidden treasure on the Bay.
Great place for families to visit. Also for enthusiastic birdwatchers. The wildlife is incredible. We also enjoyed visiting this park because of the bald Eagle. There are plenty of trails for hiking areas for boating and always enjoyable to go out visit the lighthouse

We drove down to St.Marks while staying at the Wakulla Springs Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our day hike there! Clean coastal breezes swept in from the Gulf of Mexico and we even saw several alligators in the canals! The old lighthouse was very cool as well!
On a road trip from Atlanta with a friend, we were blown away by how beautiful the park was. Found hermit crabs, saw deer, ducks, and tons of different birds. Went to st Augustine, Jacksonville, Savannah, GA, Chattanooga, TN, Atlanta, and other spots and this was the prettiest spot.
